1. Pros & Cons of playing an Evan

Pros
- Good damage.
- Mobbing skills at low levels (Faster training).
- Useful support skills ( Some are currently bugged).
- Resurrection skill that has a lower cooldown time than bishops.
- Wide variety of skills from the 10 masteries.

Cons
- HP is higher than normal magicians, but still low.
- Weak magic guard(Pot spamming).
- Some skills have cooldowns (Eg. Dark Fog, Blessing of the Onyx).
- Can only hit in the direction you are facing.

3. Training*

Level 1~ 20 : Do your basic quests, you'll level very fast from it.

Level 21~ 30 : Quests, or train at Ant Tunnel 1 / Mushroom Growing Cave / Monkey Temple 2

Level 31~40: Monkey Temple 4 / Terrace hall / Monkey Temple 3.

Level 41~50: Monkey Temple 4 / Chronos.

Level 51~ 70: Monkey Temple 4 / Ghost Ship 1 / 2 / 5.

Level 71~85 : Ghost Ship 2.

Level 86~100 : Fantasy Theme Park 3 / Entrance to Spooky World / Ghost Ship 2 till level 90.

Level 101~130 : Entrance to Spooky World

Level 131~160: Entrance to Spooky World / Center of Ulu City** / Skelegon**.
** NOTE : Petrifighters and Skelegons may deal a lot of damage, hence training may be pot consuming.

Level 161~200: Center of Ulu City(GOOD SPAWN!) / Skelegon / Fishing


3.1 Skill usage

From Level 10~19, use Magic Missile

Level 20~39 - Magic Circle

Level 40~80 - Ice Breath

Level 80~100 - Ice Breath / Fire Breath / Killer Wings

Level 100~160 - Earthquake / Killer Wings / Illusion / Flame Wheel

Level 160~200 - Earthquake / Killer Wings/ Illusion / Blaze / Flame Wheel

4. Stat adding

Like Adventurers and Arans, Evans receive 5 AP upon each level.

First Build : Normal Luk Evan
Pros :
- Can wear fancy equipments .(Higher DEF/MDEF?)
- Best for new players.
- Cheap to play.

Cons :
- Low damage
- Less MP as compared to pure INT Evans

Second Build : Low Luk Evan
Pros :
-Can wear fancy equipment, if wearing luk equipments.(Higher DEF/MDEF?)
-Slightly higher damage than normal Evans.
-Relatively cheap to play.

Cons :
- Despite the higher damage as compared to normal Evans, damage is still not fantastic.
- Lower MP than pure INT Evans .

Third Build : Pure INT Evan
Pros :
- Very good damage if funded.
- Highest MP among other builds.

Cons :
- Limited Range of equipments.
- Low DEF/MDEF.
- Quite expensive to play due to prices of INT equips.

1st Mastery : Max Dragon Soul immediately after Magic Missile is level 10.
Max Magic Missile.

2nd Mastery : Max Fire Circle / Teleport first,
Max Fire Circle / Teleport

3rd Mastery : Max Magic guard first,
Max Lightning

4th Mastery : Max Ice Breath first,
Max Elemental Reset.

7. Evan Mount Quest ( Level 50 )
1. Double click the lightbulb and talk to Mir
2. Then go to Grendal and he'll tell you to talk a NPC located in the same map as Dances With Balrog.
3. Find Nineheart in Erev who will ask you to find Kenta in Aquarium
4. Kenta will request for 50 seal skin, 10 million mesos and 1 Serph's Pearl(found from a
clam like mini boss 2 maps right of Aquarium).
5. Bring the items to Kenta, and he'll give you a Stage 1 Saddle. Do not equip the saddle first.
6. Bring the saddle to the NPC in the same map as Dances with Balrog, and he'll teach you
the Monster Riding Skill.

8. Recommended Items

Hat : Zakum/Chaos Zakum/Scarlion/Targa/Ravana helm with 30 INT and above.

Overall : Bathrobe with 20 INT and above.

Gloves : TMA 20 and above.

Shoe : Preferably Yellow Snow Shoes with 10 INT and above.

Cape : TMA 15 and above.

Shield : TMA 25 and above.

Earring : TMA 20 and above.

Weapon : Use Maple Staff/Lama Staff till Level 64, and switch to TMA 100+ Maple Widam Staff.
At level 130, use Deadly Poison wand/Orb of Fire Wand TMA 165+.

Eye accessory : Evan Glasses / INT 7+ Owl Mask

Belt : INT 5 and above.


9. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. How come I can't kill a monster when I've more than it's original HP?

Ans : This is due to the server sided magic calculation problem, which is currently being fixed

2. How come I can't max out my skills?

Ans : You've probably missed out on some quests. Finish them and get your SP. By level 200, you should be able to max out all your skills, and also have extra skill points.

3. Why Orb of Fire Wand / Deadly Poison wand at 130+?

At higher levels, the main skills you'll be using would be of a fire element. Deadly Poison wand gives a boost of 1.1x to fire attacks, and Orb of Fire wand gives 1.25x boost.
